Red Bull Music announces national run of end-of-semester shows

Red Bull Music Presents announced Bright Futures, a series of four end-of-year shows across Australia this November & December featuring music curation by multi-disciplinary artist Ta-ku and Red Bull Music.
Bright Futures sees creative direction by Ta-ku’s newly co-founded creative agency Pretty Soon & headlined by Pond, Kaiit, Basenji and Kilter in select cities Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth to celebrate a time of optimism and possibility for students and music lovers alike finishing their year on a high note.
For the Melbourne edition, the celebrations will be going down at Yah Yah’s in Melbourne on Thursday, November 22 where Red Bull Music Presents: Bright Futures calls upon Papua New Guinea-born, Melbourne-based artist Kaiit for a must-see live performance of neo-soul moving hits like “OG Luv Kush p.2” and “Natural Woman”.
Joining Kaiit is keyboardist, composer and star collaborator, Billy Davis with his adored fusion of hip-hop, R&B and gospel, alongside the hypnotic grooves, and outer limits of jazz and hip-hop from sensual five-piece, 30/70.
Red Bull Music Presents: Bright Futures will officially launch in Newcastle the week prior at Newcastle Hotel on Sunday, November 17 headlined by local beat-maker Kilter, and then travel to Brisbane’s The Empire Hotel for a memorable summer evening with Sydney producer, pop-lover and DJ, Basenji on Friday November 23, before finishing up at Perth’s Fridays Studio for a local show of legendary proportions, starring psych-rock wonders Pond and some of their closest bandmates ZĀN and Racoo on Wednesday December 5.
Set to be an audio and visual feast of possibility and optimism, Red Bull Music Presents: Bright Futures is an opportunity for music lovers and students alike to come together for an end-of-year celebration with some of Australia’s most-exciting performers.
Tickets will be available to purchase online at $10 + bf, with bespoke limited edition merch by Pretty Soon on offer for the first attendees through the door.
