Missing the movies? You can now buy cinema-only Choc Tops from the supermarket

Just because cinemas are currently closed, it doesn’t mean you can’t have an authentic movie night at home with the humblest of movie snacks – the Choc Top.

In a world-first, the cinema only Bulla Dairy Foods’ Choc Tops are currently available for purchase in Coles supermarkets across the nation for a limited time only. With the coronavirus pandemic shutting down movie theatres across the country, the legends over at Bulla thought it was only right to make use of their stock and team up with the supermarket giant so make the much-loved treat available to homes outside of the cinema.

That’s right, you can get yourself the superior mint and boysenberry, and/or the classic vanilla, choc fudge and salted caramel, direct from the frozen section of your local supo.

“Since the closure of cinemas across the country, we have been working hard to find alternative solutions to ensure Aussies don’t miss out on the high-quality products they know and love during these trying times,” Bulla CEO Allan Hood said in a statement.

“We are thankful for the support of Coles in partnering with us to enable movie (and ice cream) lovers across the country to recreate the authentic movie night experience in their own home, complete with our Bulla Choc Tops.”

“The Choc Top is synonymous with cinema outings and as Australia eagerly awaits their return, we are still working closely with our cinema partners to ensure there is plenty of product to supply once they are open again to the public.”

A four pack will set you back $10 (until June 9), however some flavours might not be available everywhere so prepare to go on a hunt if you’ve got a particular craving.

To recreate a true cinema experience, make sure you scoff it down before the movie actually starts.
