With the fandom of free donuts, specialty stores and the innate ability to revert everyone to their six-year-old self when the treats are in presence, you could say there’s something special about the hole-y dessert. Add a cheap price tag and the ability to pick them up with ease, and the donut is a winner for all occasions. Hands-down.
Well, we’ve got two words for you – donut balls.
This week, McDonalds quietly added the delicious new menu item – perfect bite-sized pieces of fried dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with hot fudge dipping sauce.
And the best part? For just $2, you can get your mitts on five cinnamon sugar-coated donut balls, with the hot fudge dipping sauce for an extra $1.50.
$3.50 and that’s your sugar hit sorted.
Unfortunately, it’s only available in New South Wales at this very moment but all hope is not lost for the rest of us as Maccy D’s have claimed they’ll be rolling out the little dessert balls across the nation in the coming weeks.
Keep an eye out at your local Macca’s and, please, let us know as soon as they pop up on the menu.
