Prepare yourselves for a burst of 90’s nostalgia. With The I Love The 90’s Tour coming up with a dream line-up of pre-millennium favourites.
The 90’s was a brilliant time – with Tamagotchi’s, Nintendo 64, light up Yo-Yo’s and bulky discmans. It was also an absolute boom for singles – complete with cult classics, dance-floor jams, and gangsta rap hits. Now thanks to MJR Presents and Nova’s Throwback Thursday, you can reminisce about the trend-setting decade at this year’s biggest dance floor party with some of the most iconic, lasting names in rap, hip hop and RnB for the I Love the 90s Tour, which is hitting Australia for the very first time.
Legendary rapper, actor and reality star Vanilla Ice is at the top of the line-up, and is one of the 90’s most recognisable names with the global hit Ice Ice baby, which took rap to the billboard charts. It’s the repetitive song that is infectious enough to still rock hard at all the good house parties decades later and will no doubt be featured in his live set.
The world’s most iconic female rap group Salt N’ Pepa are another stand-out on the line-up. Completing 90’s playlists ever since, these girls are dependable party-starters with their sass, lust and absolute flavour. Expect to hear hits like Let’s Talk About Sex’, ‘Push It’, ‘Shoop’, ‘Whattaman’, among others.
You will also get to bust a move with Grammy Award winner Young MC, who will be bringing his funky hits and infectious rhymes to the stage – and with eight albums behind him, there’ll be no shortage of tracks.
There’ll also be live sets from early 90’s star Tone Loc, Coolio and his global phenomenon Gangsta’s Paradise, and RnB heartthrobs Color Me Badd and their steamy chart-topper hip-hop ballads.
