Here’s a list of Aussie tours and local events that have been rescheduled and cancelled, thanks to Coronavirus

It’s no secret, coronavirus has derailed the touring industry in a few short weeks.

Across the world, majority of the biggest festivals have been delayed or cancelled entirely as organisers step up their response to slowing the spread of the virus. Coachella, Download Festival, Dark Mofo, Under The Southern Stars, the list goes on. The same goes for national and local gigs and smaller events. We’re flooded with more cancellations every single day, and it’s not really clear as to when they’ll stop. It’s assumed October but really, that just depends on a myriad of unknowns.

This follows the government’s banning of large gatherings and events of over 500 people, along with requiring 14 days of self-isolation for everyone entering Australia.

Here’s what we know is not going ahead:

Melbourne Queer Film Festival – 12 – 23 March

All MSO concerts between Monday 16 March and Monday 13 April

The Darkness at 170 Russell – 17 march

Kingswood – March 18 – June 26

Geelong Design Week (City-led events) – 19-29 March

3 For The Stream – March 20

Jerkfest 2020 – March 21

Dyson Stringer Cloher at Volta – March 21

Lara Food and Wine Festival – 22 March

Creatures for Relief Bushfire Fundraiser – March 22

Download Festival Australia – 20 & 21 March

Byron Bay Bluesfest – April 9 – 14. At this stage we’re unsure about Bluesfest Touring Sideshows.
