Guide Dogs Australia have organised a nationwide Zoom meeting to introduce their newest puppy

With the recent social-distancing requirements to help flatten the coronavirus curve, millions of Australians have been working from home in a bid to reduce the further spread of the virus.

Creating a surge in work-from-home activity, daily and virtual meetings have become embedded in our new work routines, with Zoom quickly becoming the video meeting app of choice.

While some of you might be getting sick of that daily Zoom grind (and dealing with that one colleague who doesn’t know how to use the god damn mute button), Guide Dogs Australia are here to save the day, hosting a virtual meeting with its new puppy (named Zoom) tomorrow at midday… and you’re all invited.

A statement reads: “As many Australians stay connected via video conferencing, what better way to brighten their day than a lunch-time on-screen explosion of the goodest boys and girls there are.

“The meeting will be held at lunch time on Zoom for people around the country to tune in from their makeshift WFH offices and get their daily dose of lovable Labradors.

“These pups will also be joined by some fully-fledged Guide Dogs, already changing the lives of people with blindness or low vision.

“It’s a great way to learn all about the Guide Dog journey and the role these special dogs play in the lives of many Australians- lunchtime learning has never been this fun.”

Cancel any 12pm meetings, this one is a MUST.

You can access the Zoom meeting by clicking on this link and there’s a Facebook event which you can find here. So far more than 700 people have clicked attending with 1,400 interested in attending the event.
