Five Animals in Oh My My’s House

Bringing together lush electronic soundscapes together with a hypnotic vocal quality that builds in urgency, Sydney’s Oh My My lays down an impressive debut single for 2018 with ‘Animal House’.
A fresh and vibrant dose of music from this multi-instrumentalist and producer, ‘Animal House’ positions Oh My My firmly as an artist to watch as these next few months of the year unfold.
In celebration of the breathy and intoxicating track, Oh My My has rounded up the top animals in his house…
Kobi (my housemate’s Kelpie)
This one is an obvious choice. I’ve live with Kobi for about three years now and he’s just one of my best mates.

Dragon and Io (my old housemate’s sphinx cats)
This was definitely a love hate relationship. It felt quite alien (pun intentional.. they look like aliens) at first to hang out with two hairless, needy cats, but I grew to love them pretty quickly.
oh my 2
A Lion
This one is mostly for my Dad. He is certifiably obsessed with Lions. I think if I were to be friends with one and grant my dad visiting rights, I may be able to forego the Ferrari I promised him at the age of 10 (My brother and I were going to be big sport/music stars and pay Dad back for the numbers late night gig-lifts and guitar/amp purchases).
oh my 3
Dunston from Dunston Checks In
I really bloody loved that movie as a kid. As much as I’d want to have a pet orangutan, I think I’d feel to guilty ‘owning’ one. However, if I lived close to the jungle, I’d definitely leave my doors unlocked for surprise visits.

Last but not least, Benji, my only ever pet and best buddy
He was an absolute badass. So incredibly smart. He would listen and understand every word you’d say (at least that’s my memory of him as a 10 year old). He loved playing dress-up, especially in baseball gear. We never actually found out his exact breed because my aunty rescued him and we adopted. I still have such fond memories of him!
