Clementine Ford and Anne Summers are both well-respected writers when it comes to feminist discussion. Having just released a new book, titled Fight Like a Girl, it’s part memoir, part polemic.
At its core, it encourages women and girls to own the saying “fight like a girl”. Ford will join Summers to discuss the notion of girlhood and how experiences in their early lives shaped their ideas around feminism.
How has the feminist fight changed? Has progress stagnated or are we in a moment of renewed feminist vigour and optimism? And what kind of future awaits Australian girls? It all takes place at the Geelong Library on October 14 at 6.15pm. To get tickets visit the website.
