Face The Music is returning in 2017

As a part of the Melbourne Music Week Hub Face The Music will smash all expectations, a game changing event and a must attend for anyone aspiring to work in the music industry. The first speakers for two day events have just been announced, and include some of the best and brightest people involved in the industry – booking agents, journalists, program managers, and triple and quadruple threats are among the talents presenting.

Some names to look out for are; the punk rock historian Marky Ramone – as drummer for The Ramones over 10 records and thousands of shows, he’s seen it all and been it all, Ariel Pink – the keynote speaker is an American singer/songwriter coming of the release of his eleventh album, Chippy Nonstop – DJ, rapper, actor, writer and boss she’s bringing artist run seminars addressing gender and inequality to the summit, and Bjørn Pfarr – the music programmer for Reeperbahn a Hamburg based conference and festival with 37,000 attendees annually.

Plus there’s Nick Findlay (Music Director – triple j), Mallrat (Artist), Monica Tan (Writer/Journalist) and Nicole Prutch (Music Supervisor – Lussier) – what a line-up!

These are just the first speakers announced for the summit, with more coming closer to the event.
