Colac band The Attics drop new tune ‘Ultramarine’

Since releasing their self-titled debut last July things have been quiet for the Victorian West-siders.
Now the psych-pop four-piece are back, fresh from a move to Melbourne, the Colac band are excited to reveal their first single of 2018, ‘Ultramarine’ out today.
‘Ultramarine’ sees The Attics testing the elasticity of pre-established boundaries and stretching beyond any self-appointed limitations. Without denying their signature guitar jangle and catchy melodic charm, ‘Ultramarine’ slips away from the light and airy stream of pop consciousness that has served the outfit thus far and begins to plunge into thought provoking depth. With one foot on land and one in the sea, this amphibious track is equal parts grounding and uplifting with acclaimed engineer Steven Schram pushing the sound in a dynamic and bold direction.

Throughout their short but prolific beginnings, The Attics have opened for the likes of Ali Barter, Harts, Abbe May, The Pretty Littles and The Magic Bones and have pulled significant crowds near and far with notable festival appearances at By The Meadow and Indie Week Toronto.
Compiled of band mates Ben Wade, Steven Mccoombe, Peter Angliss and brainchild Cameron Wade, The Attics are a captivating live act who bring pulsating percussion, dreamy guitar and semi-electronic elements to life with their compelling performances.
The band will be launching ‘Ultramarine’ with special guests at The Grace Darling on Friday 24 August – don’t miss it.
