Check out Chapel Summer Sessions this summer

The iconic Chapel off Chapel will play host to an array of exciting and diverse musical acts in the month of January – stripped back, up close and personal featuring Brendan Maclean, Thando, Jordie Lane, Nathaniel and Mayfield.
The rare and intimate Chapel has hosted international acts such as Coldplay, Noel Gallagher, The Dandy Warhols, Foo Fighters, Michael Franti and more, as well as Australian artists The John Butler Trio, Wolfmother, The Beautiful Girls, Delta Goodrem, Missy Higgins, Xavier Rudd, Grinspoon, Claire Bowditch and more as part of the Live at the Chapel series. More recently Josh Groban, Ziggy Alberts, Bobby Fox, Wes Carr, Tripod, Damien Leith and Kyle Lionhart have all played the rare venue. John Farnham even held a closed session before one of his many comeback tours in the space.
JANUARY 13 8pm – NATHANIEL
One of Australia’s most promising R&B soul singers, multi-platinum selling artist Nathaniel
Willemse presents ‘Let’s Get It On’ – The Songs of Marvin Gaye. The night will also include Nathaniel’s smash hits ‘You’ and ‘Live Louder’. His stunning vocal range and powerful performances have audiences reeling and wanting more.
JANUARY 18 7:30pm – MAYFIELD
Melbourne’s very own six-piece soul outfit fuse together soulful beats, smooth melodies
and powerhouse vocals that give the classic sound a modern twist.
JANUARY 19 8pm – THANDO
Zimbabwean-born R&B songstress Thando oozes passion as a storyteller; taking her audience on a journey of loving oneself and reflection. Her third visit to the Chapel Summer Sessions will be a powerful performance from Melbourne’s newest first lady of R&B.
JANUARY 25 8pm – JORDIE LANE
Singer-songwriter folk raconteur Jordie Lane is as much celebrated amongst his musical peers and industry as with fans of the great art of storytelling through song. With a body of work now spanning eight releases, this show will be a chance to see the master at work.
JANUARY 27 8pm – BRANDAN MACLEAN
The Guardian calls him ‘a king of pop in the making’ and they couldn’t be more right. Young pop doyen Brendan Maclean returns to Melbourne to play a one-off acoustic set, exploring his catalogue of electrified pop at the grand piano.
