Geelong is a region that is bursting at the seams with small business culture and is full of passionate creatives that are working together to create a community of good business, and right up until March this year, the demand for small business was at an all-time high.
Unfortunately, many of these businesses came to a screeching halt last month when the world was told to change the way we interact as human beings in society under the strict Government social-distancing requirements to help flatten the coronavirus curve, with social distancing and isolation key in helping to reduce further spread of the virus.
While doing our part to flatten the COVID-19 curve means we can’t go out and sip an expertly-crafted cocktail, it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy one from home thanks to Geelong’s Boutique Event Co.
Founded by local couple Dani and Matt Fontana, Boutique Event Co has been Geelong’s answer to the travelling bar for the past few years, relishing as a business that creates an experience that will leave a lasting impression at weddings, engagement parts, corporate events birthdays and any other event you could think of.
Due to the pandemic putting their business on hold for the time being, the team have decided to bring their delicious cocktails recipes direct to you via live-streaming on Instagram.
Each Friday at around 5pm, they’ll be going live to bring you a new cocktail recipe that you can make at home. From their signature expresso martini, ‘dark and stormy’ creation and pink gin cocktail, to the blueberry mojito, whiskey sour and everything in between, there will be something for every taste bud. However, if you have any special requests that you’d like to see them share, simply send them through via DM on their Instagram.
The power couple will be making these with ingredients and utensils that you already have at home – or can be purchased easily from your local supermarket giving you the perfect reason to stay inside and enjoy a cheeky Friday night tipple.
