For those who can’t make it to Byron Bay, there’s still a chance to see some of the impressive acts hitting our shores with the delicious sideshows that get announced each year.
Just ahead of their shows at Bluesfest 2020, veteran guitarist and singer George Benson and award-winning singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will be heading to stages in Melbourne and Sydney.
Benson released his 36th album, Walking to New Orleans, back in April to critical acclaim. Carlile’s latest release, By The Way, I Forgive You, dropped in February last year and earned her the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album.
Soul legend Mavis Staples has also revealed she’ll be making an appearance Down Under. Staples played at Bluesfest last year and will be heading back to Aussie shores a month earlier in March for a one-off show in Brisbane.
