Audio-Technica have just dropped details of their newest wireless in-ear headphones

The tech gurus and music devotees over at Audio-Technica (worldwide group of companies creating high-performance microphones, headphones, wireless systems, mixers and electronic products for home, travel and professional use) have long been creating high-quality earbuds, wireless headphones and gaming headsets that deliver sound in a whole new way… and now they’ve just dropped details of a sweet new addition to their range.

Coined the ATH-ANC300TW, these babies represent the marriage of true wireless and active noise- cancelling in one set of in-ear headphones.

Offering digital active noise-cancelling and a true wireless listening experience, this hybrid model is ticking all the boxes when it comes to our needs of a high-quality, consistent and no-fuss listening experience.

The headphones are equipped with two active noise-cancelling microphones, placed on the front and back of each earbud. These record the ambient sound and feed it into the high-precision, digital noise-cancelling processor. 5.8 mm drivers with diamond-like carbon coated diaphragms create a strong bass and clarity in higher frequencies. The sound signature is ideal for a great variety of genres, and with multifunction buttons located on each earbud, you can control music playback, calls and volume.

There are three modes of noise-cancelling to choose from: ‘Airplane’ which targets constant low-frequency noise, such as the sound of an airplane engine; ‘On the go’ which is highly effective for suppressing sounds on the street; and ‘Office/Study’ which responds to noises that appear in quiet settings such as offices and libraries.

The hear-through mode plays the ambient noise recorded by the built-in ANC microphones back to the listener. This mode allows the listener to interact with their environment without having to turn off the audio or removing one of the earpieces. There’s also the clear voice capture which ensures high-quality audio recording when taking phone calls which is a win!

Because we’re all hopeless at switching off our headphone, the team at AT have incorporated an auto power on/off feature which will help save battery life. The earbuds turn on when taken out of the case and off when being put back in. This function can be disabled using the app. As for playback, continuous playback goes for 4.5h and an additional 13.5h using the charging case.

In terms of design, the curved housing ensures a comfortable and ergonomic fit, while the silicone ear tips come in four different sizes (XS, S, M, and L).

The product is expected to be in stores in Australia by June 2020. You can find more info or shop the complete range of Audio-Technica products via the website.
