Sustainability and recycling!
I am a huge advocate for reusing and recycling. I try and take reusable coffee cups to my fave cafes, take reusable shopping bags when I shop, and try and make small changes through my life that will make a positive impact on our environment.
Recently I was asked to become an Ambassador for an Australia wide event which is called Garage Sale trail.
A weekend long event happening on October 21 and 22 – not only a huge weekend to create waves with reusing and recycling your unwanted goods – but a weekend to hold a garage sale and turn your trash into someone else’s treasure.
The garage sale trail started in Bondi Beach in 2010 and has since grown into a nationwide event, encouraging the reuse of your unwanted good (trash to treasure) and bringing people together.
The event is for anyone and everyone, from community groups, businesses and people like me who just want to host a garage sale.
The fun part about the weekend is you can register your garage sale via the website (www.garagesaletrail.com.au) and add it to the map so when the event happens people will use the map as a guide to find where you will be hosting your garage sale.
