A Melbourne photographer has captured the abandoned city in the midst of lockdown

At the height of lockdown earlier this month, Melbourne’s usually bustling city streets went quiet with the majority of people in self-isolation and working from home to flatten the COVID-19 curve.

Melbourne-based photographer Jojo Seriña took to the streets on Saturday, April 11 for his usual run (adhering to social distancing rules of course) and simultaneously captured the once vibrant city of Melbourne in a completely isolated state.

The photos feature major Melbourne sites, including Flinders Street Station, Bourke Street, Little Bourke Street, Queen Victoria Market, the Old Exhibition Building, Southern Cross Station, and many more.
