A little bit about Carl Barron’s show Drinking With A Fork

Anyone can make you cry, but only some people can make you laugh – and this guy is pretty damn good at both. Cracking up crowds for 23 years and making over 300,000 Australian’s cry from laughing so hard on his last tour, Carl Barron returns at his brilliant best with his brand new show ‘Drinking With A Fork’.

Coming to Geelong and Ballarat for his newest live show, Australia’s biggest live stand-up comedian takes to the stage in April and May and will feature his latest sketches, along with a bit of guitar.

Since taking a year off to star in his first feature film and touring the US with the show last year, the Queensland larrikin is back in Australia blending structure with chance with his unique style of comedy that tends to have the crowd nodding in agreement.

Re-wind two decades, Barron had his first television appearance on the NRL Footy Show in 1997, and since then he has been gracing stages all over the world.

With regular performances at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and stints headlining major comedy venues and international festivals, Barron’s talent got him a DVD release of his show ‘Carl Barron LIVE!’, which went platinum four times making it the most successful DVD in Australian comedy history.

His YouTube video ‘Just For Laughs’ has over four million views, which is not surprising with his millions of fans all over the world, however he’s commonly mistaken as Paul Kelly, which he finds basis for another joke – one you may or may not hear at his upcoming shows.

Fans are in for a night of wry observations and relaxed style of comedy with a sideways take on everyday life. Sure to make you laugh, expect nothing less from one of our countries great comedic minds.
