Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently took to Twitter to denounce “this new trend of non-metal fans wearing vintage metal T’s if (sic) pretty sickening. Metal is not ironic! (sic) Dicks.” Dee is referring to celebrities like Gigi Hadid (what the fuck is a Gigi Hadid?) and Kim Kardashian sporting Metallica shirts. Clearly, Dee thinks only people who are known to listen to metal should wear metal shirts.
Dee Snider, the man who spent is career in the 80’s dressed as a woman, a twisted woman at that, is calling out others on their choice of style as unauthentic and, to a degree, attention grabbing. Well, the award for Metal Hypocrite Of 2017 goes to Dee Snider! Congrats, Dee!
It has been a sad fortnight in the metal world with the loss of two brothers; RIP to Celtic Frost/Hellhammer bassist Martin Ain who passed away aged 50, and RIP to Marilyn Manson Guitarist Scott Putesky AKA Daisy Berkowitz who passed away aged 49.

Unify – A Heavy Music Gathering will be held at Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland from Friday January 12 to Saturday January 13. The line up includes Parkway Drive, Architects, The Amity Affliction and many others.
Sleep’s Melbourne show at Max Watts on Saturday January 20 has sold out. A second show has been announced for Sunday January 21 at Max Watts.
