Ballarat Beat Pin-up Competition

With registrations now closed, the much-loved pin-up competition is fast approaching as part of The Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival.
Proudly hosted by Lana-Rose Fashion, the regional competition attracts contestants, both males and females, from all over Australia. This year there are five categories contestants are able to enter including Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Geekabilly, Glamourbilly and Atomic Couples.
After receiving a number of entries, the semi-finalists have been carefully chosen, resulting in 30 pinups across the five categories who will strut down the catwalk to help the town celebrate all things rockabilly.
Each category will have a single winner – and then whoever has the highest point score out of those categories, becomes the Ballarat Beat Pin-up winner and will receive a Ballarat Beat Crown, become the “face/ambassador” of the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival for 12 months and become a Guest Judge for the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Pinup Competition 2019.
With both male and female pinup novices through to experienced competitors dressing up in their particular styles set to perform on stage, the free event will be a fun way to spend the afternoon.
This year also sees the addition of the Ballarat Beat Pin-Up Competition Nicola-Zoe Fundraiser. Dedicated to the beautiful and vivacious Nicola-Zoe Pike who left the world in 2017, all proceeds go towards Headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing.
