A breakfast to help ‘Heat the Homeless’ is going down in Geelong tomorrow morning

A breakfast at The Hive in Geelong will take place this Friday, June 9 will serve as the launch of this year’s Heat the Homeless appeal.

The morning event sees Peter Forras – who represented Australia at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in the men’s downhill – discuss hitting the slopes, catching a wave and helping those in need.

Aside from his Olympic achievements, Peter operates the quality ski gear company in Australia XTM which is sold around the world and is supplied to three Olympic ski teams. Due to its success, Peter and his XTM co-founders created The Heat the Homeless campaign, which encourages the public to donate their second-hand ski jackets to give to the homeless.

Entrepreneurs Geelong and Chamber of Commerce Geelong will help Peter in launching this year’s appeal through a breakfast. If you’ve got a spare ski jacket lying around, bring it in with you.

It all goes down at the Hive in Geelong from 7.15am.
