Stepping out as a solo artist from a familiar and much-loved band is no easy thing, but Cat Canteri doesn’t appear to be showing too many signs of stress. The singer-songwriter and drummer of The Stillsons, Canteri waited for when the time felt right to put out her debut album When We Were Young. The album, which has a UK release next month, was released in the second half of 2014 and was produced by ARIA-winning Craig Pilkington. As well as performing drums, guitar and keyboards on the majority of the album, Cat also enlisted the services of Ben Franz (The Waifs, The Stillsons); Stevie Hesketh (The Drones, Jet) and Justin Bernasconi (The Stillsons).
