Astro Boy, Oh Boy

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Astro Boy is getting the live-action treatment. Australian production company Animal Logic Entertainment is teaming up with Japan’s Tezuka Production for the feature, which is still in very early stages at the moment. That is, producers are still on the hunt for writers and there is no director attached. What does that really mean anyway? The bigger question is: Is the world ready for a live-action Astro Boy?
