Things to do in Geelong to get you in the Christmas spirit

Christmas is quickly approaching, and there’s more going on in Geelong than the regular chap would think. Here is a list of some of the fun things to check out around Geelong this Christmas.

Christmas Festival of Lights
See the magic of Christmas come to life this December, with colourful light displays and 1.2 million lights to illuminate the sky. Not just a light display though, there are also enchanting trails, floating displays, an enchanted fairy garden, Santa’s Christmas Cave and so much more.

When: December 12 – 24

Check out the Floating Christmas Tree
If you haven’t already seen the floating Christmas tree of Geelong, then what the hell do you do at Christmas time? It’s pretty hard to miss the giant tin tree lighting up the waterfront every night from 8:30 – 12. DON’T MISS OUT.

Be awed by the City Hall Projections
Every night from 9 – 12, City Hall is illuminated with an animated Christmas projection program, featuring the work of local artist Matt Bonner.

Neon Christmas Room
Designed by Neon Jungle, step into a neon wonderland to experience light-filled fun, with colourful neon shapes.

Get your annual Santa Photos
Trusty Santa photos have again returned for all your Christmassy 2019 needs. You’ll be able to find a waiting Santa at most major shopping centres, with a variety of Regular Santa, Pet photography and Sensitive Santa.

Yeez-Mas Eve
The team at 2 Chambers would like to wish everyone a Happy Lit-Mas from Father Yeezmas. So join the crew, and Father Yeezmas for an RNB Hip Hop Party.

Geelong Carols by Candlelight
An evening for the whole fam bam, Carols by MosquitoBite, I mean Carols by Candlelight. Full of plenty of carolling, and featuring some of Geelong’s most talented local performers, plus the concert band, you’re in for an unmissable evening. Carols runs from 8 – 10pm, and is FREE.
