Despite a little band-member shuffle earlier this year, indie Melbourne outfit The Engagement are still out and about, working hard on their signature catchy and meaningful electro-pop sound which has earned the boys close to a million streams on previous singles.
In fact, they’ve been busy and better than ever, serving up lush sounds in single ‘In the End’ earlier this year and now following up with the release of another uplifting little single featuring local producer ALIUS.
This new track is titled ‘Another Year’ which is perfect timing with summer around the corner and New Year’s Eve only about a month away! (That rocked around quick, didn’t it??) It’s a neato little 3 minute ‘yay! Bring on summer!’ feel-good club tune which the band has said is about “maintaining hope and overcoming dark times.”
And if it wasn’t already cute and poppy enough, the music video also features clips of the boys having fun riding the rollercoasters at Luna Park, it’s a little bit sweet! So let your hair down and turn the volume up on this one in the car on the way to the beach this summer. Check it out below.
On the release for this track, the boys have also promised us a follow-up planned for early 2020, so keep those ears open for another sweet summer-time track!
