Last year was a defining moment when Good Things Festival debuted in Australia, and signaled a rock festival return- a comment echoed by Dexter of The Offspring, Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low and Bert McCracken of The Used during each of their mammoth sets in 2018.
Looking back now, it’s hard to not feel your engines revving once more; it was an absolute blast of a time. The greatest thing since Saturday morning cartoons, some have said. We aren’t sure who exactly, but some. Definitely. Surely.
Well, fuel up the engines because Good Things Festival has just lifted the lid off their massive lineup for the festival, which is set to return to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in December 2019.
Leading the charge this year is Byron Bay metallers Parkway Drive, fresh from headlining major European Festivals and now headlining their first-ever Australian touring festival playing their only Australian shows for 2019, alongside co-headliners and Florida rockers A Day To Remember.
Alongside these legends, Violent Soho will make an appearance for their only Australian shows of 2019, as well as pop-punk stalwarts Simple Plan, the legendary Bad Religion, Simple Creatures – with Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low) – followed by metal heavyweights Trivium, Australian surf rock royalty Skegss, Australian rock titans Karnivool and Enter Shikari., global pop superstars The Veronicas, the dynamic duo, and right on their tail is prog rock kings Coheed & Cambria.
Phew, that’s not even the half of it.
You’ll also see sets from Reel Big Fish, Poppy, Thy Art Is Murder, Slowly Slowly, The Bennies, Voyager, Yours Truly, Windwaker and The Beautiful Monument, plus more. You can peep the full lineup below.
It all goes down Friday 6 December at Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne.
