The New Savages have dropped their debut album Seventh Son

Melbourne Indie Blues Duo, The New Savages are about to treat us to the release of their anticipated debut record. The talented duo are among the upcoming elite in the local music scene with their eclectic and original blues sound that always weaves a 1920/30’s Delta Blues vibe.

The new record “Seventh Son” is an absolute Journey of a record that touches on all the traditional blues themes of god, the devil and unrequited love.

In the words of the Savages front man Milan Milutinovic “Seventh Son is the true story of a man I know who found God while he was in prison for killing someone while driving drunk. There was something very powerful in the thought of finding ultimate truth and grace in the worst position in life. I wanted to capture his conversion experience in a song.”

The record is an interesting trip through some of life’s toughest lessons and revelations and whilst simple in its format is also quite powerful in its execution, making it a record not to be missed.

The New Savages debut record “Seventh Son” is out now and available via their website thenewsavages.com.

The duo are also on tour to support the record and will swing by Pistol Pete’s in Geelong on June 14 and The Lost One’s in Ballarat on July 13.
