This State We’re In returns for 2019

Happy new year, Forte readers!

We’re back in the office for 2019 and excited for what’s to come. Applications for our new leadership program, Cultivate, have streamed in and we’ll be announcing the successful participants soon.

The VMDO team have hit the ground running and have lots to share this month.

Start your new year listening to the VMDO First Peoples Spotify playlist. It is an exciting and transformative time in the world of music. The contribution of First Peoples to this current state of music is critical. VMDO First Peoples is a snapshot of some of the exciting music being produced by Victorian based First Peoples. Have a listen here.

VMDO are also getting ready to host their next Networking Breakfast on January 22nd, bringing together the music business community to share ideas, catch up and collaborate. Targeted towards Victorian professionals currently working in the music industry, this month focuses on delegates from the recent Sounds Australia trade mission into South America. Head to the VMDO website for more information.

The Push have also announced the return of CHANGES, the annual Melbourne music conference, with a call for recruiting two new contract positions to lead the programming and project management of CHANGES in 2019. Head to the CHANGES website to apply.

Till next time,
The Music Vic and VMDO crew
