Three more sleeps until The Pleasure Garden takes over Catani Garden’s

With less than a week to go until St Kilda’s Catani Garden’s are transformed into an immersive inner-city oasis, it’s time to start planning your trip down the rabbit hole on Saturday December 8.
The Pleasure Garden has slowly been making a name for themselves as one of Victoria’s most unique festivals. This year is particularly special with the Garden’s bloom to the tune of FIVE distinctive and immersive arenas, each one playing host to a carefully curated selection of artists.
Festival director Geordie Barker gives us the lowdown on each of the stages!
Conservatory Stage
The garden’s CONSERVATORY STAGE takes the form of a broken down conservatory, overgrown with vines and moss, being reclaimed by The Temper Trap’s iconic anthems, the soulful storytelling tunes of Xavier Rudd and the incredible reggae, roots and funk fusion of Katchafire. Performers command the balconies of the structure, whilst the broken windows of the structure play in the light show. This stage is nestled amongst the palm trees and features a nonstop selection of party anthem favorites.
Aurora Stage
Bear witness to the AURORA STAGE, a temple of tribute to the sunshine, where weathered wood and mirror interlace. The stage has a varied program across hip hop, reggae and bass music. Experience the dense lyrical mazes of Sampa the Great, dive into the funky depths of Stickybuds, witness mashup master A.Skillz, and experience the reggae and bass manipulating master Mista Savona.
Bass Station Stage
The Bass Station Arena encompasses all thing reggaeton, dancehall, dub and drum & bass. The stage is a mirrored temple of aged wood and colour. Here you can witness a master at work and the guru of tech-dub Mad Professor, take off into K+Lab’s ever-expanding galaxy of funk, or get glitchy with Staunch.
House Party Stage
Out of the underground and into the Garden, the HOUSE PARTY stage covers all things wall-shaking and foot-stomping across Techno and House. Catch the likes of Uone & Western, Jamie Stevens and Spacey Space in this squat party complete with its own Hot Tub!
Beach Club Stage
Melbourne’s first stage on an actual beach with the water open for swimming. Turn up the heat at the inaugural BEACH CLUB headed up by deep house queen Nora En Pure, Gardeners can dance as the sun suns over the ocean, with sounds from Harvey Sutherland, Andee Frost and Casey Leaver.
Okay so now you have a feel for the stages, are you feeling ready to map out your Garden experience? Jump on the SET TIMES and start dreaming of your journey between the Conservatory, Aurora, Bass Station, House Party and Beach Club stages.

Alongside the music, Gardeners can mingle with mischievous roving performers, take in monumental art installations, discover artisan market stalls, and kick back and enjoy fine food and decadent cocktails in a palm-fringed party paradise curated all for you.
