Anywhere you find Nigel Wearne, a songman who has the spirits and influences of Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie deep down in his soul. Armed with personally handcrafted guitars, his music melds finger-style guitar, country twang, honky-tonk and honest storytelling. The songman’s latest release is Black Crow, a four-star affair (Rolling Stone Magazine) recorded by Adelaide’s Mick Wordley (Jeff Lang, Chris Whitley, Jordie Lane).
