Werribee Open Range Zoo are introducing an unforgettable evening that is in support of Rhino Conservation – Sunset Safari.
A new concept at the Zoo and an exclusive after hours function that will allow attendees to explore the world of some of the most iconic and unique species. Opening with a complimentary drink on arrival from their exclusive pop-up bar (That has us won over already!) before you’ll be setting off on the first of many unique experiences for the evening.
You’ll get the privilege of enjoying the beauty of the sunset whilst a Zoo Expert guides you through some close encounters with some of Africa’s greatest wildlife with the feature point being Werribee Zoo’s famous White Rhinos Kipenzi, Letaba and Si Si. Don’t forget to wave to the other friends of the plains along the way including herds of Giraffe and Zebra.
The experience rolls on with the flavours of Africa on display allowing you to share a dinner with friends at the Meerkat Bistro. You’ll be able to enjoy some North African inspired cuisine that will be sure to take your taste buds on a journey too! The immersion doesn’t end there with the rhythm and soul of Africa on full display with a performance of drums, song and dance to accompany a fantastic dining experience.
Werribee Open Range Zoo Director Glen Holland couldn’t speak highly enough for the experience they’ve carefully crafted – “This is a completely Authentic Wildlife and cultural experience; you can’t get closer to an African Safari without buying a plane ticket”.
How can this amazing night get any better? Proceeds from the Sunset Safari will allow Zoos Victoria to support international conservation partners including the Rhino Fund Uganda meaning that you can have a fantastic, educational and unique experience whilst making a difference at the same time.
