Australia's biggest gaming festival lands in Melbourne this weekend

PAX, the world renowned gaming convention hits our shores this Friday, hosting some of the biggest AAA Publishers showcasing their latest and greatest offerings with massive interactive displays in what is set to be a massive 3 days.
With an extensive view into the gaming Industry PAX will grant you access to all levels of development with an Indie Showcase accompanied by PAX rising, a forum for Indie developers to display their works and show gamers what is in production.
Want more? PAX will also offer Tabletop games, VR and PC gaming areas, Handheld gaming areas, old school arcade games and even escape rooms – more than enough to cover everyone’s gaming tastes.
Are you more competitive? Gaming tournaments will also be a highlight over the weekend with the huge Omegathon Tournament taking place but if you prefer to take a more relaxed approach to your PAX experience you can check out one of the panels or speakers covering diverse topics in the industry from ‘The Community and Health benefits of Pokemon Go’ and even ‘Dungeons and Dragons for Dummies’.
Some of Australia’s biggest gamers will be live streaming from the convention and battling it out in the PAX arena with special events including a Voice actor showdown – where some of the biggest voice actors in the industry will battle it out.
If all that isn’t enough, gaming writer legend Rhianna Pratchett, creature of the Tomb Raider series, Overlord and Mirror’s Edge will be at the event running a session. There’ll also be plenty of live music and much more – Game On!
