Good Things come to those who wait and Good Things Festival are thrilled to announce headline sideshows from some of the artists on the huge festival line up. This is the first and only sideshow announcement for Good Things and there will be no more sideshows announced… so don’t muck around!! Either grab your festival tix or get to one of these bad boys.
Kicking it off, The Offspring (yes you know, one of rock’s most exciting and enduring bands) are performing a headline sideshow at TheBarton Theatre in Adelaide on Wednesday 5 December with guests, Horror My Friend.
Next we’ve got All Time Low heading to the Gold Coast. Throughout the course of seven albums, these guys have earned five Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, peaking at #2. Known for unforgettable shows around the globe, All Time Low will be performing on Tuesday 11 December at the Coolangatta Hotel, Gold Coast.
After twenty years, Dropkick Murphys remain bigger than ever, having sold over 6 million albums worldwide. The band continues to sell out venues around the world. They’ve played Boston’s Fenway Park and been personally invited to share the stage with everyone from Foo Fighters to Bruce Springsteen to Mumford & Sons. So of course they’re doing a sideshow. Catch them in Adelaide at HQ on Monday 10 December.
Ah these legends! Over the last 15 years The Used have released a collection of albums that have shaped the space of the alternative rock scene. High energy live shows, gut wrenching relatable lyrics, and melodies that blended pop sensibility and hard rock creating the perfect combination to make an everlasting impression on fans globally. They’ll be performing a headline show at the Molo Live @ ANU in Canberra on Tuesday 11 December with special guests.
Now we’ve got a Melbourne sideshow for those wondering. This one comes from La Dispute who are known for making music that is both artistically, technically,
and emotionally engaging. They’ll be performing two headline sideshows in Melbourne (Northcote Social Club, Dec 11) and Sydney (Factory Theatre, Dec 12).
Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Wonder Years are a band made up of old friends, playing rock & roll music and they play it like they mean it. This will mark the first trip to Australia for Boston Manor. Their second album, Welcome To The Neighbourhood, produced by Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, Public Enemy) is a soundtrack to disenfranchisement set in a fictionalised version of the band’s hometown. It inhabits an unapologetically bleak one, a world rife with poverty and drug addiction, boarded up shops and a population unable to escape a predicament they didn’t even know they were in. They’ll hit up Stay Gold in Melbourne on December 6 and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on December 10.
Waterparks, the Houston trio have kept it real and catapulted to international renown as a result of asignature style that seamlessly slips-n-slides between rock, pop, and alternative. Catch them at The Lair in Sydney on Dec 5 and at Howler in Melbourne on Dec 6.
Who the Fxck is SCARLXRD? This British artist is almost completely unknown to DJs and MCs in the UK rap scene. SCARLXRD has released mixtapes such as; Savixur, Annx Dxmini, Sxurce Xne, LXRD, Rxse, Chaxsthexry, Cabin Fever and LORDSZN. SCARLXRD released his latest mixtape entitled ‘DXXM’ in May of 2018. Despite this, he has a massive global fanbase and the video for his breakthrough track Heart Attack which has had over 35 million views – not bad for someone who has only been rapping for just over a year. He’ll be touring Australia for the first time as part of Good Things Festival and will headline two sideshows in Brisbane (Dec 11) and Melbourne (Dec 12).
