Kingwood are helping launch Melbourne's newest live music venue

There’s a new ballroom in town, and it’s the newest live music venue to pop up in Melbourne.
The Geddes Lane Ballroom, located at 46 King Street Melbourne and previously home to Showgirls Bar 20, will be launching next Thursday with Melbourne rockers, Kingswood confirmed to play on the night.
The 400 capacity room is also getting a makeover, with Lorenz Grollo (CEO of Grollo Group) overseeing the cosmetic and compliance works of the venue as part of the King Street Revival (KSR) Project. This will see Geddes Lane Ballroom be tastefully renovated to enhance the buildings 170 year old heritage bones, while Bennett will be presenting tasty bar snacks with a social conscience and curating the food trucks that will take over the laneway on band nights.
In a quirky twist, the venue will also house a novelty pizza vending machine, that will pop out a Margherita in six minutes of ordering. How cool is that???
Geddes Lane Ballroom will be booked by the A-team at The Venue Collective, who also book 170 Russell, Northcote Social Club, Max Watts and the Corner Hotel, so you know the quality of the PA and the artists playing will be second to none.
The calendar is now open for bookings, with the bandroom set to officially open to the public over the coming months.
Put this one on your list as a ‘must see’ when you head to Melbourne next. We love it already.
