Sydney's Oh My My lets us in on some fun facts

When listeners were first introduced to the stylings of Sydney producer and musician Oh My My earlier this year, they got a hit of dark and sultry electronica with ‘Animal House’; now, we see him go one step further, switching lanes for a brighter, more earnest soundscape with new single ‘WOE, MY HEART’.
Employing delicately placed piano in amongst thudding beats elevates the song to being more than just a crystal cut banger, Oh My My delves deeper in pulling on the heartstrings as it explores themes of loneliness and heartache. Though vocal echoes and ambience adds space, the pace of the percussion anchors ‘Woe, My Heart’ and as the song enters its final minute, a sense of anxiety builds.
To celebrate the track, Oh My My has given us some insight with five things we don’t know…
1. From ages 5 – 10 I was obsessed with dress-ups. Especially ninja turtle outfits. I re-lived this love at Festival of the Sun a couple years ago, wearing a ninja turtles outfit made for 5 year olds.
2. Drums were the first instrument I played. I eventually got jealous of my brother playing the guitar and stole it from him.
3. When I was in high school I would collaborate with progressive rock and metal artists all around the world on myspace. We would critique each others music and play own each others songs.
4. James Kitto, who sang on my first release, was in my first ever band in high school called Enuff Sed. Not the best band name ever…
5. I used to play SingStar every Wednesday for about two years. I was our pre-party ritual during Uni years.
