Triple R are bringing back their annual Radiothon

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Triple R FM.
3RRR’s annual subscription drive will return later this month, with the beloved Melbourne community radio station urging listeners to get involved in order for the station to remain independent and unbeholden to corporate and government influence.
The iconic community media organisation has over 800 dedicated volunteers, who together with a small staff have kept experimental, free-form independent radio thriving since 1976.
This year’s theme? Stay Curious. A reminder to stay engaged and fascinated by the world we live in – and also to question it.
Triple R, which enjoys over 440,000 weekly listeners, gives voices to issues of social justice, and many people, causes and opinions that may not otherwise be heard. The station also provides constant updates on what’s happening around Melbourne, making Triple R a great tool for navigating our city’s vibrant scenes and discovering hidden gems.
Triple R’s music programming is both broad and specialist. Each broadcaster brings their unique passion, expertise and hunger for music to the air – highlighting weird, wonderful, well known and emerging artists.
Their outstanding contribution is a vital and voluntary one. Triple R is a not-for-profit organisation, which needs your support this Radiothon. Stay Curious. And keep the experiment alive.
