New Zealand's Mako Road are heading to Ballarat

We’ve been told that winter gets bloody cold over in NZ and so, to escape the chilled air, Christchurch band Mako Road are making their way over for their very first overseas tour!
Formed while at the University of Canterbury, Mako Road is a relaxed-indie outfit that kicked things off as a covers band playing at University events and parties. The four boys eventually developed their own sound influenced by a range of genres, leading them to release three singles in 2017, and their debut EP ‘The Green Superintendent’ in early 2018.
Now they’re dipping their toes in a few of Victoria’s finest watering holes to try out our Aussie beers, Aussie darts, Aussie cuisine, Aussie dance moves, and of course play us a few of their NZ tunes.
They’ll also be supported by local faves Gymnastics In The Seventies, Dal Santo and Melbourne lads Façades.
Catch them at The Eastern in Ballarat this Friday July 6 (check out the FB event here) or if you’re in Melbourne, they’ll be at The Reverence on Thursday July 5.
