Yoko-Zuna share their Top 10 list of Need to know NZ artists

For over three years now Yoko-Zuna have been crafting a reputation as one of the most innovative and exciting acts in the New Zealand music scene.
After playing massive headline positions over the New Years period at the Rhythm and Alps Festival, the four piece are coming to make their mark on Australia.
Here’s their own list of Top 10 Need to know NZ artists.
10. Ladi6 – Royal Blue
One of Ladi’s most dominant vocal performances. She’s a bit of a legend of the NZ soul/R&B scene and is still killing it. Listen here.
9. Melodownz – Son of a Queen
We’ve been lucky to work with Melo quite a bit, and this is one of his one of his best hooks. Listen here.
8. Unknown Mortal Orchestra – American Guilt
We can’t wait for the new UMO album. Everything these guys do is golden, and by the sounds of this track the new album is going to be the same. Listen here.
7. Bailey Wiley – Lady
Another artist we’ve been so lucky to work with and this track is her at the top of her game. Those horns too! Listen here.
6. Bobandii – Nazarite
One of the most underrated musicians in Auckland. Listen here.
5. Soccer Practise – Amene
An Auckland group who are pushing the electronic sounds and incorporating Te Reo Maori into their music beautifully. Definitelly a group who keep us pushing our sound. Listen here.
4. Wax Chattels – In My Mouth
“Guitarless guitar music”. Wax Chattels are one of the best live bands in Auckland and have got an album out soon that’s going to be epic. Listen here.
3. JessB – Pushing The Space
We’re very lucky to work with JessB on our upcoming album, and she’s starting to make waves across the scene. One of the new talents of the rap game. Listen here.
2. Miloux – Paris
Another artist who we have had the pleasure of working with quite a bit, and this is one of her catchiest tracks. Listen here.
1. SWIDT – Day Job
These guys are possibly the hottest MC’s in New Zealand right now, winning awards left right and centre. We were honoured to have them on this track, and they knocked it out of the park.” Listen here.
