UM sorry where is summer? Not here!
I feel as though I have eaten more winter warming foods than fresh salads the last few weeks to cope with this unpredictable weather. Recently, I have been eating out a lot and absolutely loving one place in particular!
Phoklore is the newest kid on the block and located down in the cool coastal town of Torquay. Situated next door to Bomboras, this place is constantly overflowing with good vibes and lots of people and specialises in Vietnamese street food with all your favourites including PHO!
The menu is small, simple and filled with so many flavours, my mouth was just watering. On this particular occasion, I trekked down during the week one evening and was surprised by how busy it was for a weeknight.
Now that I’m officially a vegan, I didn’t have trouble finding heaps of options for myself. They have the usual suspects like Bah min rolls, Pho (chicken, beef, vego etc), bowls filled to the brim with lots of veggies and proteins, as well as a fully functioning bar which houses Vietnamese beers.
Our food was soooo delicious, I left dreaming of coming back ASAP!
I would definitely recommend getting down to this place for a huge feed with your friends, but be mindful, it’s first in best dressed with no bookings and communal tables.
They are open Wednesday through to Sunday and are open for lunches only a few days a week. Add this to your list of places to eat, you won’t regret it.
