Blue Child Collective: Wake up to the sound

The tour bus is a second home for Blue Child Collective.
The Western Australian act spent more than ten months on the road in support of their last album Saturn Saw the Seaside, playing 120 shows across Australia and New Zealand.
Halfway through a 20-date Australian tour, Blue Child Collective reaches Victoria this weekend.
Fronted by multi-instrumentalist Dan White, Blue Child Collective are a fluid groove n’ roots outfit out of Margaret River.
Boasting a sound likened to Xavier Rudd, Angus and Julia Stone and Caravana Sun, Blue Child Collective’s is fresh off a well-received 14-date journey around New Zealand.
Their current Australian tour is in support of new single Wattle Tree Corroboree, a laid-back, Latin-esque roots tune recorded on the Sunshine Coast with renowned producer Paulie B (The Beautiful Girls).
“The song was written on a Nullarbor crossing when we started looking to the changing landscape for signs on our search for the west coast,” White explains.
“Lyrically the song explores our ability to converse with and be guided by nature if we listen.”
Wattle Tree Corroboree is the first single from Blue Child Collective’s forthcoming fourth album Wake Up to the Sound, due out later this year.
