Moonlover (a.k.a Quang Dinh, formerly of Little Red) has dropped his new single ‘Queen of Sheba’.
Taken from his forthcoming debut album, Thou Shall Be Free which is set for release March 2nd through Our Golden Friend / Island Records, this track is a serious sign of good things to come for Melbourne’s mystic psychedelic rocker.
‘Queen of Sheba’ builds on Moonlover’s charming voice and the song’s luring bass runs with playful synth layers and colorful overlays.
The vintage track is laden with sonic surprises and analogue synths, with every listen bringing something new to the experience, from the extraterrestrial-esque soundFX to trickling overdubs of colourful picking guitar and eastern arpeggios.
One for driving down the coast with the windows down on a sunny afternoon.
This track release follows last year’s single sharing the album’s title ‘Thou Shall Be Free’ along with the second single ‘The Ooiee’, keeping to his mission of releasing all of his music in line with the Lunar Calendar.
