PREMIERE: The Elliotts – “Whatever Gets You There”

Melbourne indie pop-rock band The Elliotts have dropped their brand spanking new video clip!

Haven’t heard of them? Well you better start paying attention because these guys are all kinds of cool!

Founded by Tasmanian singer/songwriter Robbie Elliott, he is joined by multi instrumentalist James “Wally” Howlett on bass/acoustic/vocals, and often perform alongside drummers including Robbie’s brother Lewis Elliott, fellow busker Mr Clyde and Firefighter Ash Joy.

From simple beginning, they went on to release their self-produced EP Warriors in 2015 which has sold over 4,000 copies. They followed up with the release of ‘Aeroplane’ which saw them tour in both Europe and the US; playing a successful showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Now, they’re back and they are making their mark with “Whatever Gets You There”, the first single taken from the bands forthcoming album which will be released in 2018.

Set in the streets of Melbourne, the video sees the band busking in Bourke Street Mall.

Of the video, Robbie Elliott says, “We love busking on Bourke Street. Our home a rehearsal space and also a launch pad: People, their stories and their support… I can’t believe we’ve sold over 5,000 cd’s around Melbourne. Makes me an optimistic romantic.”

If you’re digging what these guys are about, they’re playing a show on Friday December 15 at The Phoenix in Brunswick.
