Help wag a tail this Christmas

Geelong Animal Welfare Society Christmas Appeal is back for 2017.

This year, leading animal welfare charity, Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) has partnered with Emma Hawkins for their Christmas Appeal, Project WAG, Help Wag a Tail this Christmas.

“I loved the fun concept of Project Wag, so I was excited to be on board to promote the Christmas Appeal. GAWS provides a service to our community that is crucial to the welfare of animals. I’m encouraging everyone to get on board and donate, allowing GAWS to continue their great work” said Emma Hawkins.

Over 1000 animals (strays, lost or surrendered) will come through GAWS unfunded shelter during the Christmas break.

CEO of GAWS, Adrian Buckley acknowledged “Unfortunately, funds raised this year are below expectations. The Christmas appeal is crucial to raising valuable funds to operate our animal shelter.  We hope the community can dig deep and support this appeal so we can continue to rehome all our lost and abandoned animals to give them a second chance.”

GAWS are calling on all animal lovers to join Project WAG to Help Wag a Tail this Christmas.  There are many ways you can participate in raising much needed funds, through business donation boxes, school and corporate fundraisers, regular giving and bequests programs.

All donations are tax deductible. Donate online at www.gaws.org.au/christmas-appeal
