The Fourth Night – Torquay’s own Summer Music Festival

Finally, Torquay are getting their very own Summer Music Festival and it couldn’t be more perfect.

With one of the world’s best festival bands, The Cat Empire, headlining the inaugural event, The Fourth Night will be one hell of a night. This Melbourne-born band is now world renowned for a live show that never fails to deliver in the melody-driven joyful dancing stakes. With a slew of awards and multi-platinum albums to their name, and well over 1200 shows under their belts, their journey as musicians has been spectacular. The music they create is uniquely their own, as is their infectious, dance-inducing live show, and they are sure to put on an epic performance for our favourite coastal town.

Furthering the musical talent, The Fourth Night will also host multi-platinum selling, three-time ARIA award winner Sarah Blasko, who has developed a highly regarded reputation as one of Australia’s best-known and loved singer-songwriters. Blasko writes songs that strike with rare immediacy, clarity and purpose. She has continually proven herself as one of the most compelling performers in Australian music.

Also taking the stage is critically acclaimed young Australian songwriter Sahara Beck. Beck is an independent artist in the truest sense of the word – an artist finding her own sound and in the process emerging as not just another remarkable voice. She has already shared the stage with artists including Bernard Fanning, The Cat Empire, Ball Park Music, Xavier Rudd, Ben Lee, Katie Noonan and many more, making her mark in the music industry.

Rounding out this bold lineup is The Sand Pebbles. They’ve been cited as “producing one of the best albums of 2017 by any band, any place” by TripleR presenter Jonathon Alley, “uplifting, thrilling, surprising and just completely captivating,” and with a back story like theirs (including their time writing scripts for television soap operas and attending high school with Julian Assange), you know they’ll have loads to talk about.

Alongside all the musical offerings, there will also be a range of international foods, market stalls, engaging street performers, art installations and boutique bars – meaning there is something for everyone. We’ll have more info on the offerings soon!

Immerse yourself in a creative wonderland while dancing the night away to some of Australia’s most renowned musicians. If you think you have seen it all before, think again. This truly promises to be an explosion of live music, gastronomic delights and engaging performances set to leave you with the sweetest of Summer memories.

It’s all going down in Torquay on January 25 next year. Check out the website. Tickets are limited. Gates open at 3:00pm and close at 11:00pm.
