The Food Truck Fiesta that was set for Geelong this weekend has now been rescheduled to the 5th, 6th and 7th of January 2018 due to the predicted bad weather.
With espresso martinis, good-grub and pup-appreciation, they’ve now put it all together to create an all-inclusive experience to the people of Geelong, celebrating food, drink and local music with family and friends. And it’s dog friendly – so you can bring your pooch.
It’s truly a fiesta – and we’re keen, especially given the strong lineup they’ve created with more than 25 food vendors. Featuring Royal Stacks, Mr Burger, Mr Chow, St Gerry’s, Billy Van Creamery, Dip’d Gourmet Mini Donuts, Fatboy Cheese Steaks and Bigger Than Texas, as well as heaps more, this event is shaping up to be a real treat.
Delivered by the teams behind some of Australia’s largest festivals including Beyond the Valley, Pitch Music Festival and Petting Zoo Festival, the Fiesta has been curated with the food-obsessed in mind. Food Truck Fiesta Promoter, Sammy Swayn, said the most recent Fiesta in Highett attracted more than 30,000 people across Melbourne Cup weekend. “With Pimms, Melbourne Martini and Geelong’s own Furphy on tap plus a huge food line up, we’re expecting large crowds,” Swayn said.
A highlight, for us anyway, is that Geelong Food Truck Fiesta has partnered with Geelong animal welfare organisation, GAWS, with donations going to the charity and towards our furry friends. With a ‘Pupper Appreciation Party’, festival-goers are encouraged to bring their pups for a day of pampering. What’s not to love about that?
