Not one, not two, but three ukes take centre stage with The Nukes, a band that mixes folk, bluegrass, reggae and post-punk for a sweet uke sound. Described as “part vaudeville, part rat-pack, part musical car crash”, the New Zealand outfit was formed at the 2008 Titirangi Festival of Music. Taking on their fourth Australian tour in five years, The Nukes have landed a hot date with the Old Castlemaine Gaol this Saturday night, November 18.
