Unveiling her first of many singles (and videos), ‘It’s So Cruel’ is a taste of what’s to come from an assertive and assured sophomore LP from Ruby Boots.
Of the single, Ruby Boots says: “It’s about that moment — when you meet a person and it seems like destiny has smiled on you and sparks are flying. Except, they’ve somehow neglected to tell you about the ‘significant other’. Yeah, bummer. We all live and learn enough to see those red flags next time around.”
The new album Don’t Talk About It follows her award-winning debut release Solitude and is a bold new direction from the acclaimed performer. Ushering in a new breadth of sound, the 10-track album sees her embrace a generous dose of Indie-Rock while continuing to encompass all the Americana sensibilities for which Ruby Boots is known and greatly admired for.
