Latin Rhythms by the Bay

Saturday November 11 marks the return of Geelong’s biggest live Latin dance event at the Waterfront. Club La Vida Salsa Geelong, host their fourth annual Salsa by the Bay at Waterfront Kitchen, featuring arguably Melbourne’s best Latin Salsa band, Carlito’s Way. This accomplished 8-piece outfit will bring to life the rhythms of Cuba and music reminiscent of The Buena Vista Social Club.

Carlito’s Way have a massive fan base and they feature at numerous cultural festivals across Australia, as well as playing regular gigs at home in Melbourne. Dancing will be non-stop all night, with Latin DJ artist Mick Williams, direct from PBS Radio and the Melbourne salsa club scene, stepping in to play the hottest mix of salsa tracks between band sets.

Experience the seductive sounds and dance moves of Cuban salsa at this unique dance event, which traditionally attracts an eclectic audience from Geelong, Melbourne and beyond.

Patrons can look forward to a delicious gourmet supper by Truffleduck, all included in the ticket price of $26 pre-sale, or $30 at the door.

Club La Vida Salsa president, Sonja Sanderson says, “We’re thrilled to return for our fourth year, thanks to the brilliant ongoing support from our local community and beyond. The atmosphere at Salsa by the Bay is always so exciting, lots of happy, energetic people passionate about Latin music and dancing.
