BAIE Wines release new wine for the first time in 10 years

Popular Bellarine Peninsula small-batch winery BAIE Wines has released a new wine – a 2017 Saignée – for the first time in ten years.

The decision to introduce the bold style rose came from the Kuc family’s love of the wine style itself, as they would often go looking for it in wine stores. They felt now was the perfect time to be trying something new and so the BAIE Saignée – described as a much bolder-style rosé – came to be.

BAIE Wines Co owner Nadine said that the introduction of a Saignée would add a little more to their wine offering as it is a very different wine to the current BAIE rosé, which bursts with flavours of strawberries and red fruit with a delicious dry finish.

BAIE Wines has also collaborated with renowned Geelong chef Jesse Huges of ALMA Restaurant to develop a dish that will pair perfectly with the 2017 Saigne’e, with customers to receive the recipe card when they purchase a bottle.

Looking like the perfect wine to enjoy through the summer, the 2017 Saignée will be available online and at selected wines including Barwon Heads Wine Store, Bottles and Barrels, Randalls, Geelong Cellar Door, Ocean Grove Cellars and Wine Domaine.
