Too Heavy To Hug #673

Welcome to THTH, Forte’s premier source of all things heavy, hard, fast and metal.

Metal Christmas this year is on Friday September 22. We’ll be receiving new albums from four massive bands; the mighty American black metal forest dwellers, Wolves In The Throne Room, will bring Thrice Woven, Norse, black metal legends, will bring Deep Calleth upon Deep, complete with cover art by Edvard Munch. The extremely British, extremely theatrical, extreme metal mainstays Cradle Of Filth will bring Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay and the best Aussie larrikin band since TISM, King Parrot, will bring Ugly Produce.

With Metal Christmas comes Metal Boxing Day and seriously, the only thing that could compare to a normal Boxing Day Test is Max and Igor Cavalera performing Roots at the Forum on Saturday, September 23.

I seriously cannot remember the last time four massive bands released an album each on the same day and if you’re reading this after Metal Christmas and you do not have any of the above albums, then you’ve completely missed this year’s Metal Christmas and it totally sucks to be you because all you have to look forward to is normal Christmas, probably.
