QO – The Future of Design in Geelong

Deakin University showcases the first of its design graduates from the brand new design degree at the Waterfront Campus.

On October 5, over 70 new graduate designers will exhibit the work they have been creating in collaboration with the Melbourne and Geelong community groups.

Students have named the project QO and it sees groups of students paired with not for profit companies across Victoria. An alternative to showing class work, students must solve a design problem and help companies promote the great work they do.

Students have been working on 18 projects including a potential rebrand of the well-loved and annual Geelong Pakofesta, design strategy for Volunteers Geelong and a User Experience design for Batforce Geelong.

The projects will launch with a huge opening night at Geelong’s Laneway Loft Space right in the heart of Geelong on October 5 which acts as a great evening to meet the students, see the work they do and meet the future of design in Geelong!

The exhibition will be running in Geelong on October 5th at 6-9pm at the Laneway Loft, Downes lane.
